Your mission

As a (Senior) Project Manager (m/f/d) Energy & Transformation, you will take on and be responsible for the technical planning and management of projects in close cooperation with project teams and clients, focusing on transformation topics in the energy sector, particularly the heat transition in centralized and decentralized supply systems.

Additional diverse responsibilities, taking individual client requirements into account, include:
  • You design and analyze solutions for the decarbonization of energy systems (e.g. urban heat supply or industrial process energy provision) and assess them with regard to technical and economic feasibility.
  • You ensure that your concepts have a high likelihood of implementation, thereby creating sustainable added value.
  • Depending on the project phase, you carry out initial planning services yourself or manage external service providers across the entire project lifecycle from idea to implementation.
  • You monitor resources within the scope of your project responsibility, ensuring effective project management.
  • You actively manage stakeholders, formulate and communicate recommendations for action, and prepare decision-making processes.
  • Together with the client, you develop holistic solution concepts as well as forward-looking solutions for CO₂ reduction (e.g. with a socio-spatial, energy and climate policy, and business strategy focus).
  • You actively contribute to building a new location in the Stuttgart area, identify the needs of potential clients at an early stage, and develop new, long-term partnerships.

Your profile

What you bring to the team:
  • A passion for transformation topics in the energy and industrial sectors and a high level of intrinsic motivation to help address the associated challenges.
  • A successfully completed technical degree, preferably with a focus on energy and environmental engineering or industrial engineering.
  • Several years of professional experience in a role with responsibility within a technical management consultancy, an engineering firm, or with an energy utility or energy infrastructure company.
  • In-depth expertise in the conceptual development, partial planning and ideally implementation of heat supply projects, as well as in the decarbonization and transformation of energy supply systems, and collaboration with energy utilities, industry, municipal utilities, or public-sector stakeholders. Your technical expertise is complemented by knowledge of currently relevant laws/regulations and applicable funding schemes.
  • A strong understanding of the energy industry, combined with a keen sense for markets and figures.
  • High analytical skills, enabling you together with creativity to develop innovative solutions.
  • An open mindset toward innovative ideas and a proactive approach to integrating them into your solutions.
  • Business-fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and the ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Willingness to work on-site at our clients’ locations because proximity is key to driving real change.
  • Confident communication at all levels, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to see the bigger picture.
